The last exam today is frickin hard, x10E20 harder than undergrads' "options, futures, forwards and derivatives"... why are you testing us on Brownian motion and ito lemma?? and who will know y=S^3 follows what theory? if the brightest of the class finds the exam hard, then i think most of the class would have failed... history repeated once again, ABS. if the easy mid sem got half of the class failed, don't you think those ppl will definitely fail the one too?
anyway other than that, i think hard work pays off. Thanks to the 2 state space matrix and empirical stats, you had successfully made me puke in few occasions because i was thinking too hard.
things are picking up at work, and end up i was asked to instruct a junior today. ahahah, weird feeling coz i was giving the exact lecture my supervisor gave me before.

一到試場看到一隻二隻喪屍，面無血色頭髮散亂﹒聽到朋友一個禮拜溫2科，2科今日考﹒佩服她一個禮拜沒覺好訓還溫到書﹒我只需顧一科而已，但已經把material塞到頭快要裂開﹒
終於搞定一科，原來沒想像中難喎，雖然並非超易送分題﹒不知道是否因為failing rate太高，最近幾科acct都有放水之嫌﹒今日也不例外﹒竟然有一題問: Which of the following is not a derivative financial instruments?

勉強1
Not a productive day, been reading textbook for a couple of hours today and I could only manage to finish 1 chapter… I should be ashamed, coz I've been spending one hour on an accounting entry which at the end I realised I've misread the question in the first place… Just got my accounting individual assignment result back last night, I was dreading it since I havnt been spending much time and effort on it. But then turn out I got Cr. I guess that would help ease off the appalling mid-sem marks a bit.

Jap interaction ran smoothly, despite few minor grammar problems. We were told that we aced it, but then I expect most of the ppl would get equally high marks.
Sadly, study acct for the nite, ethics in particular. Wonder why there is a lecture dedicated to this topic, as the content is philosophical-sounding and inexplicable. Several hundreds of pages of ridiculousness, didn't even attempt to read thru it. Wasted one day on theoretical part, and that leave me 1 more day to go over 5 lectures. Someone suggested that I should publish a book namely "Study for exams in 2 days For Dummies". XD

我想，如果那時我肯勇敢一點，大步踏出去，今天應該會截然不同吧．
剛剛revise完後便去整理一下以前的entries，看著看著覺得寫的東西很不一樣．以前總愛用幾百隻顏色，也愛在blog裡亂發脾氣XD．現在呢，覺得簡簡單單用黑色就好．也發覺越寫越簡短，或者是寫得讓人猜不透．畢竟耳目眾多，不想寫得太白．而火氣呢，也收斂了．
有時候友人看了blog後會在見面時說起內容，以前總覺得有點尷尬，近這一兩年會開始多開一本blog，較私人的會寫在那邊，所以現在覺得都無所謂啦．
無論有多痛苦流涕多感動人心的事情，原來只經幾年時間，也會一件也想不起來．

吃飯時份看《金石良緣》，但卻有不速之客入侵．太嘈搞到聽不到都算了，擋住視線也都算了，做color把人家廁所弄到一團遭就太過火了．看不成大結局，唯有等重播．
說起電視，早前看過《最遙遠的距離》預告，看到劇情簡介有點興趣．但剛剛看完trailer便淋熄．其實早覺得臺片過於文謅謅，現實生活中哪有人這樣說話？如果有朋友問我「你覺得銀河有聲音嗎？」，我會二話不說馬上帶她去看病．
話說幾天前一大堆中國學生在傳聖火當日到Canberra支持中國．後知後覺的我今天才知道有（中國）朋友問過我要不要去．不過呢，我沒有愛國到丟下mid-sem挨著病坐長途巴士去支持，let alone I'm not patriotic

今日有一科acct final要考，自問準備不足故晚上在床上輾轉反側，一直睡不著．我每次考試前夕總不能安然入睡，一躺上床後腦內就自動go through所有terminology,formulae,calculation一次．
記得前幾年考HSC（即大學入學試）那段時間，好幾個考試我複習到５點，早上還是精神得很，連個黑眼圈或是眼腫都沒有．但現在我才意識到身體狀況變差了，今日沒精神不用說，皮膚甚麼的都瞬即變差，一晚咋喎．回家補了幾個小時眠後還是覺得很辛苦．
另帶一提，我發覺我還是討厭accounting．究竟是誰這麼閒來發明accounting這死人concept？總之，我但求個PS已心滿意足．

Cramming
Although you've been told to avoid cramming (studying the night before), there are times when you're left with no other choice so here is information on how to cram.
For students who have worked hard all term but now have three exams in five days and only an evening to review already learned material:
Writing out a course summary: Because reviewing the structure of the course will help you remember, comprehend and retain the material.
To work through notes and assignments but just skim the text:Because this is the best way to set priorities for the time that you have.
To stay calm and confident:By taking breaks in your studying, by getting at least 6- and preferably 8-hours of sleep, and by reminding yourself that working hard all term really will pay off!
For students who've slacked off and are now in justifiable panic:
Gathering information about what's likely to be on the exam:Find out which chapters in the text were covered; get a set of course notes, copy and return them; ask the TA what topics were emphasized.
Finding the following from information gathered: principal themes, sub-topics and major illustrations. Now memorize them: Repetition is the key to memorization; so is using every trick you can: word association, rhymes, enumeration, sentences from acronyms.
Being selective. After memorizing major themes, decide what supporting material to concentrate on. You're more likely to remember a narrow range of material covered in depth: Skim the text if there is only one, or skim only chapters that seem emphasized from your information gathering. If there are many texts, pick two to concentrate on. Take time to review what you've covered.
To be kind to yourself: Get at least 6hrs sleep. Finally, record the pain of this experience (in a letter or a tape to be addressed next term) so you won't repeat it!

有得必有失
i wanna finish blog asap, so i'll do it in english for today. Did 3583 and 1602 mc test today, which as usual i left it till the last minute to do the studies. What amaze me is that i spend 90% of my time studying for 3583 which gonna be only 15 MC question while 1602 had 65MC. Something more scary is that i use only common sense to do the 1602, the result is not bad at all; but i'm so dead for the 3583. 2 more weeks to finish this sem, i should start doing some work NOW.
I not those kinda ppl who will try to look perfect even at home. If you are gonna come over to my place on a weekend morning, dont think you'll be able to recognise me. Not that you cant recognise me without my makeup on, but the "state" that i'm in. "Bed hair", oversize pajamas, i'm not gonna go out in that even jus to pick up the papers. XD
